Tabitha Peck and co-PIs James Minogue of North Carolina State University and David Borland of Renaissance Computing Institute (RENCI), have been awarded a 3-year National Science Foundation (NSF) grant titled, “PERCEPT: Preservice Educators Reimagining Core Experiences in Physics Teaching.” Tabitha will lead the work on the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and study design dimensions of the project. Activities will include usability and pilot testing research design and measurement. She will also help in the conceptualization and design of simulations and advise on the use of haptics (tactile interactions) in the different project scenarios. Tabitha will work with 3 summer students each year of the grant.
